Natural as well as manmade disasters constantly comfort mankind.at times, human beings find themselves unable to deal
with these disasters.Understanding the need of the time, in December 2001, Parampujya Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu has established the Anirudhha’s Academy Of Disaster Management.This academy educates people on how to deal with Natural and Manmade Disasters. Those who have acquired training are in turn spreading the knowledge and awareness throughout the country.‘Each One To teach One’ is the motto of this Academy.
Experts from the fields of construction, defence, Fire Brigade, Police and specialist doctors trained the initial batch of this Academy. Today the academy has its own experts to impart training to others. The training includes all aspects of Disaster Management viz, dealing with disaster, rehabilitation of affected persons and prevention of disasters.
The academy has over 250 competent instructors and has trained over 42000 volunteers in Disaster Management till date. New volunteers are being trained at 21 centers across the state. The trained volunteers have participated in rescue operations and offered help to affected persons at V.T. (building collapse) and bomb blast incidents at Vileparle, Ghatkopar and Mulund.
The contribution of the academy has been recognized by the government and also by common people. With the blessings and guidance of P.P Aniruddha Bapu, this academy will spread its wings to reach every citizen of this country.
